As recent years Shahid Afridi was the named as the most popular cricketer in Pakistan. Afridi holds the record for the fastest one day which he has made in his entrance innings. He has made 32 runs in a single over, which the second highest scoring over ever in a One Day International. This nameless 16 year old became a personage name after his very first match. Afridi is from a Pashtu family. His Full name is Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi.
At the age 11-12 he started playing cricket. Afridi said, he loved this game immediately but started playing game sincerely only in 1993-1994. He started playing domestically in Karachi Cricket Club. He said that his brother also played cricket that is how he got interested. He started playing cricket for Pakistan in 1996. He was selected for his leg spin bowling because he has done at the selection but he created the history as fastest scoring in his first innings, which made him famous. As cricket goes to the Pakistan team seems to be reacting very well to Shahid Afridi’s captaincy. Afridi looked to be in love with his colleagues and just a guess he shows affection a bit too much in public. The best thing in Shahid Afridi is that he enjoys every moment of his cricket. He occasionally sends down a bouncer to batsmen, which is very rare for a spin bowler.
Afridi hits many sixes long and high, favoring straight down the ground or over midwicket. A trademark shot is a cross batted flick to the leg-side to a ball outside off stump. He has known for his aggressive batting style, and currently he holds highest career strike rate in the history of international cricket.

• Afridi hits the fastest One-Day century off 37 balls against Sri Lanka in Nairobi on 4 October 1996.
• In India March 2005 made a half-century from 26 balls and took 3 second-innings wickets in Pakistan's series-drawing Test victory.
• Afridi is the only third player in ODI history, which accomplishes the combination of 5000 runs and 200 wickets.
• He was the first player to score 12 runs off one ball, by hitting the roof of the Millennium Stadium. It took place in a game of Power Cricket.
• He won 4 Man of the cricket awards.
