Eid-Ul-Adha is a particular festival of the Muslims, as well known as Bakra Eid and festival of sacrifices. Eid al-Adha is celebrated yearly on 10th Dhul Hijja of lunar Islamic calendar the last month of lunar calendar. But it changes it dates in solar calendar for example last year Eid-ul-Azha come on 10th Dec but now on 28th Nov. It comes more or less 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan. Eid-al-Adha take place the day after the Pilgrims performing Hajj, the yearly pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by the Muslims of all over the world, move down from Mount Arafat.

Men, women, and children are likely to dress in their finest clothing for Eid prayer.

The Muslims follow the Sunhat- e- Ibrahimi as Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God. When Allah commanded Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ibrahim didn’t hesitate and was about to do so. Allah intervened at the last minute and gave him a goat to sacrifice in place of his son.Muslims slaughter their cow, goat, camel and sheep.


The meat is distributed among poor, needy peoples, relatives and neighbors etc.

Different types of dishes are cooked on this day from the meat of slaughtered animals.
